Respite Services

At Montage Support Services, we understand that Respite isn’t just about a safe space; it’s about creating a supportive community where both families and people supported can re-charge and thrive.  Our Respite Services offer a welcoming environment where loved ones continue to enjoy the activities and routines they love, while hopefully gaining new experiences . We aim to make respite a comfortable, enriching break for everyone involved.

What We Offer:

  • Fully Accessible, Home-Like Environment: Our bungalow is designed for comfort, accessibility, and a home-away-from-home feel.  
  • Dedicated, Around-the-Clock Support: Our staff provide 24-hour support.
  • Flexible Staffing Ratios: With 2:1 for overnight stays and 3:1 for day and evening visits, we prioritize each person’s well-being.
  • Flexible visits: Day and evening options available
  • Adaptable Stay Options: Choose from day or evening visits to longer stays of up to 2 weeks, based on what works best for you.
  • Personalized Meal Options: Meals are tailored to individual tastes and dietary needs, offering familiar favorites and variety.
  • Complex Care Supports: Our trained staff can provide specialized care, including G-tube feeding, catheter care and insulin administration
  • Person-Centered Approach: We place each person’s preferences, routines and goals at the fore-front, collaborating with families to ensure continuity of care. 

Eligibility:

  • Adults 18 and over with a developmental disability
  • Residing in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
  • Registered with Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) 

Application Process:

Submit an Application: Download the PDF using the button below. The form may be filled in on computer or printed out and filled in by hand. Then save or scan to submit it to respite@montagesupport.ca:
APPLICATION AND PROFILE FORM

  1. Receive Confirmation within 7 business days, we’ll confirm receipt of your application.
  2. Review and Waitlist: Your application will be reviewed, and if necessary, you will be placed on the waitlist if applicable.
  3. Intake Meeting: We’ll set up a meet n greet with you to discuss your needs and answer any questions.
  4. Trial Visits: Enjoy a complimentary day/evening trial visit followed by an overnight stay to ensure a good fit.
